Castle Green Homes has been named Housebuilder of the Year at the Insider North West Residential Property Awards 2026.
Held at Manchester Central and compered by Colin Murray, the awards celebrated the achievements of the region’s residential property sector over the last 12 months.
The judges said they were “impressed by Castle Green’s growth journey in a short space of time” and praised their “commitment to delivering stalled sites”.
The award win follows a record-breaking year for Castle Green, in which the business posted landmark financial results, achieved its highest-ever customer satisfaction scores and unveiled bold plans to deliver 1,000 homes a year by 2030.
Chief executive Gwyn Jones said: “Being named Housebuilder of the Year by Insider is an incredible honour and a testament to the dedication of our entire team. We’re passionate about creating homes and communities people are genuinely proud to live in. This award reflects the care, craft and innovation that goes into every development whether the homes are for private sale or for our housing association partners.”
The award win cements Castle Green’s reputation as a major player across North Wales and the North West of England.
In just 12 months, the business doubled output from 291 homes in 2024 to 602 in 2025. There was an almost even split in delivery between the company’s Homes and Partnerships brands, reflecting a commitment to building houses and supporting communities by partnering with housing associations to deliver affordable housing solutions along with private-sale properties.
The increased output powered turnover to £168.2m (up 92% year on year) and boosted pre-tax profit to £10.3m – a 157% rise.
The business expects to deliver around 600 homes across 16 developments in the current financial year.
