Time is running out for buyers to call a popular housing development in St Asaph “home”.
Launched off plan two years s ago, in response to demand, Castle Green Homes now has just six homes available at its Maes yr Haul development.
Despite the limited availability, there’s still a good choice of two, three and four-bedroom designs for sale.
Two of the properties are within the £300,000 price cap for Help to Buy Wales, offering a great option for first time buyers.
The Government backed scheme is designed to make owning a home easier to afford.
A report from the Home Builders Federation released this month reported that more than 14,000 households had been supported to buy a house using Help to Buy Wales scheme.
Castle Green Homes sales director Sian Pitt said: “Our new homes in St Asaph continue to attract strong interest from buyers. The demand reflects the quality of our homes, our reputation as a respected local business headquartered close by and that this is a popular area where people want to live.
“What people perhaps don’t realise is that the vast majority of the 130 private sale homes have now been sold, with just six properties for sale. Another thing that surprises potential purchasers is that Help to Buy Wales is available – a lot of people think that the scheme has already ended or that it’s only available for first time buyers. The reality is that it can be used for people to return to homeownership after a change of circumstances or perhaps to make that next step on the housing ladder, providing they’ve sold their previous property subject to contract.”
Help to Buy Wales offers the chance to secure a new home with a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage, with the remaining 20% covered by an equity loan, which is interest free for five years.
Applications for the scheme are available until March 31, 2025. The final date for legal completion under the scheme is December 19, 2025.
The home in St Asaph eligible to be purchased using Help to Buy Wales is the two-bedroom Oakley, priced from £199,995.
For those looking for a larger home, there are three styles of four-bedroom detached homes available, priced from £346,995.
Castle Green’s new homes in St Asaph are located in an area with broad appeal. Local amenities include a choice of schools, sports clubs, plus cute cafes and cosy pubs, plus the North Wales towns of Rhyl, Prestatyn, Abergele, Colwyn Bay and Llandudno are all easily accessible.
The sales centre at Maes yr Haul is open daily from 10am to 5pm. For the latest availability and pricing see https://www.castlegreenhomes.uk/our-developments/north-wales/maes-yr-haul.
