Castle Green passes halfway mark in Prestatyn as residents start moving in

Castle Green Homes is celebrating a triple milestone in Prestatyn.

The homebuilder launched Sŵn y Môr on Gronant Road off plan last spring and has now sold almost 70% of the homes. The first residents recently started moving in and from Saturday, May 16, potential purchasers will be able to view a finished property at the development for the first time.

Castle Green Homes sales director Sian Pitt said: “Sŵn y Môr is progressing well from both a construction and sales point of view. We’ve sold more than half of the homes, with some designs all reserved, and are starting to reap the rewards of our hard work as we welcome homeowners who reserved early on. The fact that we’ve achieved these milestones without buyers being able to view our new homes in Prestatyn demonstrates a confidence in our product and a love of the location. Some people have been travelling to other locations to view show homes to help inform their decision-making, but we’re now at a stage where they can step inside a finished home here.”

Current availability at Sŵn y Môr includes two, three and four-bedroom homes, with prices from £250,000.

A four-bedroom detached Wentworth style property is build complete and ready to move into, priced from £410,000. Potential purchasers are invited to view the property, which includes almost £20,000 of upgrades such as flooring throughout, Quartz kitchen worktops and turfed garden.

The Wentworth offers 1,331 sq ft of living space, including lounge, with feature bay window at the front. French doors lead from the combined kitchen, dining and family room out to the rear garden. A practical utility and cloakroom are accessed via the kitchen.

Upstairs, all four bedrooms are doubles, with the primary bedroom benefitting from an en-suite to complement the family bathroom.

Castle Green’s homes in Prestatyn are among the most energy efficient available, meaning properties priced up to £300,000 are eligible to be purchased using Help to Buy – Wales.

Someone purchasing with the Government-backed scheme should typically only need a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage. The remaining 20% is covered by an equity loan, which is interest free for five years.

The homes at Sŵn y Môr are being built in a semi-rural location, on the fringe of Prestatyn town. Many of the properties overlook open fields, with distant views towards the dunes and sea beyond.
