High demand for new homes in Hawarden

Wednesday, 11th March 2026

Nine eager buyers keen to snap up new homes in Hawarden made “early bird” reservations at a special preview event.

More than 1,200 have registered interest in Gladstone Grange, a Castle Green Homes development being built on Gladstone Way.

Due to the volume of enquiries received, the homebuilder hosted an invitation-only event for potential purchasers.

There will be a further opportunity for buyers to make early bird reservations on March 19, ahead of the official sales launch in April.

Castle Green Homes sales director Sian Pitt said: “We started building a database of people who want to live at Gladstone Grange long before construction started on site. We’ve been keeping them updated and invited would-be homeowners to learn about our progress on site. Nine eager sets of customers made early bird reservations at the preview event and several more have made appointments with the sales team to do the same. We’ll also be hosting a further early bird event on March 19.

“The early bird system is our way of giving homebuyers VIP access to the homes before anyone else. Essentially, they pay a small fee to be offered first refusal on their preferred property when it’s released for sale, in line with our build programme and the mortgage offer period.”

Gladstone Grange will offer 195 private sale homes, in a choice of two, three and four-bedroom semi-detached and detached designs.

Initial prices are from £254,995 for a two-bedroom semi-detached Eaton style property.

Ahead of the sales office and show homes opening, buyers are being encouraged to create a Willow account on the Castle Green website. Willow is effectively a new homes assistant, with the option to explore the development, favourite preferred properties and test out specification choices.

“The early success of our new homes in Hawarden is a reflection of our reputation in Flintshire – people recognise Castle Green as a homebuilder they can trust,” Sian added.

“While we’re still some months away from opening show homes, buyers can visit our other developments across North Wales and the North West of England to gain a first-hand insight into the layouts, quality and finish of our homes. Those who sign up to Willow can also make an appointment with the sales team and explore our new homes virtually.”

It’s anticipated that the first residents will start moving into Gladstone Grange in late summer/ early autumn.

Along with housing, the development will deliver a total of £1,567,000 of investment in the local community via section 106 contributions agreed during the planning process. This will include contributions of £625,000 to Hawarden Village School and £942,000 to Hawarden High School.

Castle Green also plans to invite the local community to apply for Mission Green funding in the summer, with grants set to be awarded to projects with an emphasis on the environment, sustainability and wellbeing.

While the homes  at Gladstone Grange will boast well-equipped kitchens, the surrounding area offers plenty of options for eating out including cafes, cosy pubs and fine dining restaurants.

Close to the A55, M53 and M56, the homes will benefit from easy access to North Wales, Chester, Manchester, and Liverpool.
