Homeowners offered speedy selling solution as Sefton development nears a sell-out

Thursday, 09th April 2026

As a blossoming new community in Sefton nears a sell-out, an event to help homeowners unlock a move to one of the final homes is being held.

The part exchange event is being held at Orchard Place in Thornton on Saturday, April 18. It will be an opportunity for homeowners to learn how Castle Green Homes can streamline the selling and buying process, enabling them to secure a move to one of the final properties available at the popular development.

Castle Green Homes sales director Sian Pitt said: “It’s almost three years since we launched Orchard Place off plan. In the intervening period it’s grown to become somewhere people love living. We’ve had several homeowners recommend moving here, with friends becoming neighbours and mother and daughter buying homes opposite one another. With 95% of the homes now sold, opportunities to join them are now few and far between. Some people with a property to sell may have a fear of missing out, but they don’t have to worry. We can help with the offer of part exchange or Easy Move and will be hosting a special event to guide homeowners through their options.”

With part exchange, homeowners essentially trade their current property towards the cost of a new home. They effectively have a guaranteed cash buyer and can remain in their existing property until their home is ready.

Alternatively, with Easy Move, Castle Green will enlist an agent to sell the customer’s home, monitoring their activity and paying their fees.

The final homes available at Orchard Place include three-bedroom detached Evesham and Windsor designs, priced from £366,995 and £459,995 respectively. For those looking for a larger home, there’s the four-bedroom detached Wiltshire, available from £554,995.

Traditional outside, modern inside, they’re among the most energy efficient homes available.

Buyers can explore the homes virtually via the Castle Green website and create a Willow account to test out a range of specification options and upgrades, available subject to build stage.

Location has played a part in the popularity of homes at Orchard Place.

Existing mature landscaping is being retained across the almost 18-acre site to provide a leafy setting for the new homes. Public open space, including a play area, will provide a central focal point and a place for residents of all ages to enjoy.

The homes are in the catchment area for a range of well-regarded schools. Shops, bars and restaurants are around a mile away in Crosby town centre. Crosby Coastal Park is ideal for getting back to nature and exploring the outdoors as part of an active lifestyle. Liverpool city centre can be reached in under an hour by public transport.

To be in with a chance of securing a move to one of the final new homes at Orchard Place in Thornton, join Castle Green on April 18.

Show homes at the development on Hollow Drive, Thornton, are open daily from 10am to 5pm. For more information see here.
