Castle Green celebrates as Senior Site Manager is recognised in prestigious industry awards

We are delighted that Nigel Pritchard, Senior Site Manager at our Bron Y Castell development in Abergele, has been recognised by the National House Building Council (NHBC) for his dedication to building homes of outstanding quality.  He is amongst a number of Site Managers nationwide to be named in the annual NHBC Pride in the Job Awards and will now go forward to an awards ceremony in Cardiff later in the year where Seal of Excellence Awards and Regional Winners will be announced.

Nigel joined us in 2017 and ever since has demonstrated his commitment to be the very finest Senior Site Manager he can be.  To be recognised in the first round of these prestigious awards is, therefore, highly deserved.  However, to get to this point Nigel has not only had to undergo a series of spot checks to review the day to day running of the site, but has also been assessed in 37 core competencies that have included his technical knowledge, consistency in the build process and the quality controls employed on site.

Speaking of his success in the first round, Nigel said: “The NHBC is held in high regard across the housebuilding sector for the work it carries out to raise standards and its promotion of best practice.

“I’ve always been focused on delivering homes of the very best standard, in an environment that is grounded in best practice and first-class results.  It is, therefore, fantastic to be recognised in this way.”

Pride in the Job, which has been established for 39 years, celebrates the exceptional contribution made by site managers in creating homes of outstanding quality and to conclude, Gwyn Jones Managing Director at Castle Green, said: “We’re a business with an ambitious vision for continued growth, whilst maintaining high standards, and to have someone like Nigel on the team is exactly what we need.

“Macbryde is about so much more than simply building houses.  We possess a deep belief in delivering quality affordable homes, that are designed to compliment the environment in which they’re located, and which meet the needs of the local population who will want to invest in them.  To make this vision a reality entails a team where each member is equally invested in the end goal, but central to any site’s success is the Site Manager.  When Nigel heads to the award finals in September, he’ll do so with the full support of the entire Macbryde team.”
