The opening of show homes over the weekend of September 26-27 marks the latest milestone for a new neighbourhood in Hawarden.
Launched off plan in spring, Gladstone Grange on Gladstone Way, is a Castle Green Homes development. Up until now, buyers have been using digital resources on the homebuilder’s website and visiting show homes in the surrounding area to help inform their decision making.
The opening of three professionally styled and fully furnished show homes in Hawarden has been hotly anticipated.
Castle Green Homes sales director Sian Pitt explained: “There’s a growing sense of excitement among buyers keen to see inside our show homes in Hawarden. More than a thousand people have enquired about the homes at Gladstone Grange and some of them first made contact two years ago when we initially submitted plans for the development. Many of them have been visiting show homes nearby but there are also those who’ve been waiting to view the properties here. We’re looking forward to welcoming them into the show homes. Those who reserved off plan will be given exclusive early access before we open to the public. We’re confident of building on the off plan success we’ve achieved to date once people can see the show homes here.”
The site of Castle Green’s new homes in Hawarden was allocated for housing in the Flintshire Local Plan.
The development offers 195 private sale homes including a good mix of two, three and four-bedroom properties to cater for local needs.
The show homes are examples of the three-bedroom detached Stratford and Windsor house types, plus a four-bedroom detached Wiltshire.
They will help give buyers an idea of the different layouts and specification choices available from Castle Green.
Current prices at Gladstone Grange start from £255,000 for a two-bedroom semi-detached Eaton. Properties priced under £300,000 can potentially be purchased with Help to Buy – Wales. Designed to make homeownership easier to afford, with the aid of a Government-backed equity loan, using the scheme buyers should typically only need a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage. The remaining 20% is covered by the equity loan, which is interest free for five years.
Along with housing, the development will deliver a total of £1,567,000 of investment in the local community via section 106 contributions to Flintshire County Council.
Castle Green has also committed to sharing £20,000 between good causes across Flintshire via its voluntary Mission Green initiative. It’s also agreed a strategic partnership with Home-Start Flintshire with a £12,000 donation towards a wellbeing programme.
The first homes at Gladstone Grange will be ready to move into in autumn/winter.
The show homes will open to the public from noon on Saturday, September 26.
