Applications for Mission Green Prestatyn have now closed.

What is Mission Green?

As part of our commitment to the environment, we’re on a mission to change the way people live.

We want to be green by name and in nature.

Alongside building highly energy efficient new homes at Sŵn y Môr, in Prestatyn, we’re launching a £5,000 fund, known as Mission Green, to support environmental and wellbeing projects in the surrounding area.

Who can apply for Mission Green funding?

Mission Green funding is now available for good causes in Prestatyn and the surrounding area including community groups, schools and charities.

A community garden or local in bloom group may want money towards tools, plants and seeds. A school may want to install a weather station or provide homes for nature in the form of a bug hotel or bird box.

Those who want to keep the neighbourhood clean, could receive funding for litter pickers, bags and high-vis vests.

Other projects that could benefit from high-vis vests include a school walking bus or a walk and talk group, helping people stay active and socialise at the same time.

Applications are now open for a chance to receive a share of £5,000 and we want to hear from YOU about how we should allocate the funding within the Prestatyn area.

How to apply for Mission Green funding

Complete the application form below before midnight on July 8, 2025.

  • Include as much information as possible about your project, how much you’re requesting and how you’d use the funding.
  • You may want to give a breakdown of costs – we want to share the funding as widely as possible so may part-fund your project so that we can help others too.
  • We aim to review all applications within a month of the deadline and will inform all applicants of how we’ve allocated the funding. We’ll let you know if there’s a delay.
  • To be eligible for Mission Green funding, your project must have an environmental or wellbeing benefit.
  • Priority will be given to projects closest to LL19 9LB.
  • If your project requires third party approval, planning permission and/or new infrastructure outside your control, this may influence our decision unless you can prove this is in hand.
  • Information from the application form will be collated by Castle Green and our PR agency to process your application.
  • Successful applicants will be required to participate in PR/promotional activity for Mission Green.
