Almost 75% of new homes at a popular development in St Asaph have now been sold, with around half of them occupied.
Castle Green Homes began work on site at Maes Yr Haul on Upper Denbigh Road in summer 2022. Homes were initially released for sale off plan and the first residents began moving in the following spring.
While the homebuilder expects to be building there for another 12 months, buyers are being urged to act fast to avoid disappointment.
Sales director Sian Pitt said: “It’s almost a year since we welcomed the first residents to Maes yr Haul and around half of the 130 private sale properties are now occupied. At the start of 2024 we’d sold more than 80 homes and we’ve achieved a steady sales rate during the year to date. We’ve now sold a total of 95 properties here – that’s almost three quarters of the development. Buyers are showing keen interest in the remaining homes and in some cases have already identified exactly which property they want to buy and are simply waiting for it to be released for sale in line with our build programme.
“Most of the homes currently available will be build complete in the summer, but one lucky buyer could move much sooner as we have a four-bedroom Wiltshire that’s ready and waiting. We’ve already laid the flooring and turfed the garden, plus fitted an upgraded kitchen with quartz worktops. All the buyer will need to do is bring their furniture and personal effects and they’ll be able to enjoy the ease of living of a new build home.”
It has a lounge with feature bay window at the front. A heart of home open plan kitchen, dining and family room spans the entire width of the property. French doors open out from this sociable space onto the rear garden. A utility, accessed via the kitchen, provides a dedicated space for the washer and dryer. There’s also a ground floor cloakroom.
Upstairs all four bedrooms are doubles. The main bedroom boasts a dressing area and en-suite. As the second bedroom also benefits an en-suite, the family bathroom effectively serves just two bedrooms.
This home has a north facing garden, meaning it will benefit from the light of the sun in the afternoon and evening. It also overlooks the park.
Across the Maes yr Haul development, Castle Green is building a good choice of two, three and four-bedroom homes. Current prices start from £191,995 for a two-bedroom Oakley style property.
Homes priced under £300,000 are eligible to be purchased using Help to Buy – Wales. The Government backed scheme offers the chance to secure a new home with a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage, with the remaining 20% covered by an equity loan, which is interest free for five years.
Surrounded by beautiful Welsh countryside, the new homes in St Asaph are located in an area with broad appeal. Local amenities include a choice of schools, sports clubs, plus cute cafes and cosy pubs, plus the North Wales towns of Rhyl, Prestatyn, Abergele, Colwyn Bay and Llandudno are all easily accessible.
Show homes at Maes yr Haul are open daily from 10am to 5pm. For more information see here.
