Discover The Ashbury

An ideal choice for those looking for open plan living, to the rear of the ground floor is a spacious kitchen & dining room, where French doors look out onto the garden. The separate lounge makes a comfortable area in which to unwind at the end of the day. Upstairs you’ll find an exceptional master suite with an en suite shower room, alongside three other beautifully designed bedrooms and a family bathroom. An integrated garage and cloakroom complete this spacious home.
Education plays an important role throughout the history of Denbigh. The former earls and governors of the town were responsible for creating a number of buildings that would go on to become centres of education. For example, Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester, commissioned the Shire Hall, which today houses the Town Library. There are several wonderful schools within the town for children of all ages. This includes Ruthin School, Denbigh High School, Ysgol Plas Brondyffryn and more.
Transport links in Denbigh are strong, with buses serving as the main style of public transport. Known as fflecsi buses, these types of buses are booked via an app and passengers are matched based on similar journeys. This provides an ad-hoc travel option that gets people to where they need to go quickly, instead of following a set bus route between bus stations. In terms of neighbouring towns, Denbigh has good access to towns like Corwen, Prestatyn, Rhuddlan, Rhyl, Ruthin and Llangollen. There’s also easy access to Snowdonia National Park, which is only a 40 minute car drive away.
A melting pot of traditional Welsh food and cuisine from around the world, Denbigh has a lot to offer in terms of eating out. Some of the best restaurants include the quaint White Horse, with its mix of reliable British and Welsh food. There’s Con Amici Italian Bar and Kitchen, a hearty Italian place serving up pizza and pasta. For those who enjoy Chinese food, stop by Chen Lin and you won’t be disappointed. For a quieter experience, visit the Glass Onion Cafe, which is regularly called one of the best cafes in Denbigh. You can also stop off at Denbigh Chocolate Shop to indulge your sweet tooth.
With a history that dates back to the 1200s, Denbigh has an impressive range of attractions to experience. Pay a visit to Denbigh Castle, a structure that once played a pivotal role in the War of the Roses and continues to stand to this day as a reminder of Denbigh’s resilience. Other activities include visiting the quirky Cae Dai Trust museum that houses 1950s memorabilia. Step inside St Dyfnog’s Church, which contains beautiful architecture. Or take a trip to one of the surrounding towns of Rhyl and Llangollen. Both places have their own unique histories that will deepen your appreciation for North Wales.
