Castle Green Homes is sold on Penyffordd

Castle Green Homes is celebrating a second-sell out success in Penyffordd.

The St Asaph-headquartered homebuilder has delivered more than 70 new homes across two neighbouring sites in the Flintshire Village.

Oak Meadow provided 32 new homes, with Brook Meadow effectively becoming an extension of that development, providing a further 40 properties.

Chief executive Gwyn Jones said: “We’ve worked hard to deliver high quality new homes in Penyffordd. Between them, Oak Meadow and Brook Meadow have helped address a local need for new both affordable and private sale housing.

“Demand was such that some of those who missed out at Oak Meadow went onto buy at Brook Meadow. Across the two sites, our homeowners are predominantly first time buyers and families, thanks in part to the area’s well-regarded schools.  Recognising the importance of schools, linked to the 40 homes at Brook Meadow we’ve made an education contribution of £130,000. Plus, we’ve contributed £44,000 towards off-site play facilities. These investments will help ensure that the growth of the neighbourhood is sustainable.

“While we’ve now sold all of our new homes in Penyffordd, we’re still receiving enquiries from would-be purchasers. Our land team is continually looking for sites with development potential in Flintshire, across North Wales and in the North West of England so that we provide the energy efficient new homes buyers want.”

Castle Green has a number of proposed developments in Flintshire currently going through the planning process. If approved, they will see the company deliver more than 800 homes. These would include 300 in Hawarden and 300 in Ewloe, 155 new homes in Buckley and 70 in Abbermordu.

Castle Green is currently building and selling new homes in North Wales at Maes yr Haul, St Asaph and Llys y Coed in Rhosrobin, with a planned development Trevalyn Place in Rossett.

Castle Green Partnerships, which delivers new homes for housing associations, is currently working with ClwydAlyn to build energy efficient affordable homes in Mynydd Isa and Deeside. It’s also working with Adra to provide affordable homes in

Prestatyn and Denbigh, with plans to build 128 affordable homes for Adra in Oakenholt.

The company is also progressing with growth across the North West of England with live sites in Sefton and Cheshire.

Castle Green’s business plan is based on building beautiful, thriving developments. The company will consider all aspects of any land opportunity, including sites with planning permission, those requiring promotion through a local development plan and strategic sites.
