A hugely popular luxury show home in Christleton has been recognised in the ‘Oscars’ of the housebuilding industry.

Castle Green Homes received the bronze award in the best interior design category of the What House Awards for the five-bedroom Townsend show home at College Park.

The company briefed Lifestyle Interiors to create an aspirational, elegant and luxurious show home that discerning buyers could imagine themselves living in when viewing the property in person, on social media or online via a virtual 3600 tour. The target market was geared towards downsizers and professional families.

The judges described it as “a serious Cheshire glamour house” boasting “the critical wow factor in an area of the country that demands style, with prices rivalling London.”

They commended the “mixture of understated elegance combined with modern flair” in the high-end luxury scheme, adding that it “hits the target audience perfectly”.

Sian Pitt, sales director at Castle Green Homes, said: “The award recognises the huge amount of hard work, dedication and research that went into creating the Townsend show home and we’re thrilled to be acknowledged amongst our peers. It’s not just the judges who’ve been wowed by this stunning property – it’s played a pivotal part in the success of the development, inspiring discerning buyers.

“We only launched College Park in January and have sold 20 of the 24 homes. The show home has also provided interiors inspiration for people on social media. Part one of a tour of the Townsend posted as an Instagram reel was viewed more than 100,000 times in just 48 hours. Those who watched the footage were so inspired they asked us to build the Townsend in locations including Scotland, Sunderland and Blackburn. It’s a testament to how investing in your show homes can cement your brand and boost buyer confidence.”

The Townsend is the largest house type in Castle Green’s Signature Collection, offering an impressive 2,908 sq ft of thoughtfully and thoroughly planned living space

Gemma Schofield, managing director of Lifestyle Interiors, said: “The Townsend needed a high-end luxury interior to complement its commanding presence and spacious layout. Our goal was to achieve a very luxurious and high-end feel while keeping on trend and demonstrating to customers how multi-functional the internal layout was. We spent many hours in consultation with Castle Green to help us understand how their target client would best live in the home. We’re so proud to have designed, procured, manufactured and installed this beautiful home. It has a timeless elegance that will never date and the feedback has been phenomenal.”

To complement The Townsend’s traditional external character, the interior designers have taken inspiration from luxury London living and the styling in Georgian properties so that historic elegance meets modern classic.

A neutral colour palette has been used throughout, creating an understated luxurious ambience. Bespoke internal joinery helped add character and functionality to the property.

Even the cloakroom has been given the style treatment, with paintings of the nearby city of Chester on display.

One of the bedrooms is inspired by nearby Christleton Cricket Club, with the club benefitting from a sponsorship deal to kit out around 100 junior players in new kits.

A five-bedroom Townsend, like the show home, is available from £1,150,000.

Other homes available at College Park include the three-bedroom detached Egerton, from £694,995 and a four-bedroom Brereton, from £808,995.
