Work starts to deliver much-needed new homes in Mold

Castle Green has started work on a on a significant new housing development on Llys Gwynant in Bryn Y Baal, Mold.

The development, to be marketed under the name Plas Issa, will be comprised of 59 new homes in Mold, that include a mix of two- and three-bedroom townhouses and three- and four-bedroom detached homes.

Plas Issa is well located for local amenities and has extremely good transport links with easy access to the A55 and the wider motorway network. It is anticipated that the homes will be particularly attractive to first time buyers, young professionals and growing families looking to take their second step up the property ladder. The first show home will be ready to welcome visitors in Spring 2020, but sales will launch ahead of that in September.

It is the first development to be delivered in Flintshire by Castle Green for several years and as with other sites that the firm is currently delivering across North Wales, demand has been high before work has even commenced.

Gwyn Jones, Managing Director at Castle Green, comments:

“The mix of homes that we’re now building at our site in Bryn Y Baal will make a significant contribution towards delivering much-needed quality homes in the area. Indeed, we’ve already received in excess of one hundred enquiries and anticipate this rapidly increasing now that work has started on site.”

As well as bus stop improvements in the area, Castle Green is also providing approximately £170,000 that Flintshire County Council will invest into primary education. 182 new jobs (1) are also anticipated to be created locally across the construction sector.

The homes are being constructed using a mixture of red brickwork, render and grey roofing tiles, to fit comfortably within the context of the local built environment. A generous scheme of landscaping to gardens and substantial public open spaces is also proposed, with an equipped play area within the main public area.
